Abhipsa Program creates an unique opportunity to achieve "climate-friendly" landscapes which include, for example, conversion of non-agricultural degraded land into orchards, interconnected with natural habitats, that are managed to minimize greenhouse emissions and maximize the sequestration of carbon in soils and vegetation.

Anwesha is a model Knowledge Park being set by Sambandh at Kochilanuagaon, Choudwar of Cuttack district. The park is multi-ferrous activity centre. This strives to preserve and propagate various indigenous medicinal & horticultural plants.

An alternative educational initiative for student/youth towards experiential learning

This programme has been undertaken in order to research into the domain of concerned issues affecting the poor, document the various aspects and to publish the findings at a regular interval for dissemination for public education.
Samabandh's twenty years of remarkable journey since 1992 has produced a new history to the rural world, which encourages us from within to flourish more and move ahead, optimistically. Sambandh, being originated from Sanskrit language, means "Relationship". The philosophy behind this initiative endeavors towards the establishment of good, faithful and honest relationship among the human beings, and empowering them to create a peaceful environment in the society and creating the earth, sustainable as well.
Informally, it was born in order to strengthen the neo creative response initiated by few enterprising individuals with strong social commitment and innovation to challenge the contemporary socio-economic crisis and its repercussion. And today also, it looks forward to make the people empowered.
SAMBANDH's programs empower the marginalized through skills, tools and funds they require to address social needs and promote self-reliance, midst adversity. The organization also advocates greater NGO transparency and accountability through the adoption of professional financial and management practices, and promotes sector-wide coordination and sharing of best practice experiences. It has been accredited by CREDIBILITY ALLIANCE since 2011 for the period of five years. We are the group of professionals who have found this organisation by choice for establishing the right based approach with social accountability at the grass-root level.
SAMBANDH works in 566 villages in 86 gram Panchayats, in 37 blocks of 14 districts in Orissa. SAMBANDH covers 15000 households with more than 1, 20,000 population in Orissa in collaboration with its partners. It primarily works with tribal such as Kondhs, Kohls, Bhatudis, Mankidias, Khadias, and Bhuiyans.
We provide the skills, tools and capacity building training that are needed to strengthen the community based organizations in terms of effectiveness, financial self-reliance, and sustainability among the tribals and dalits. We likewise promote the adoption of accountable and transparent financial and management practices and partner with NGOs and NGO networks to facilitate knowledge sharing and coordination.
