SAMBANDH works in 566 villages in 86 gram Panchayats, in 37 blocks of 14 districts in Orissa. SAMBANDH covers 15000 households with more than 1, 20,000 population in Orissa in collaboration with its partners. It primarily works with tribal such as Kondhs, Kohls, Bhatudis, Mankidias, Khadias, and Bhuiyans.
We provide the skills, tools and capacity building training that are needed to strengthen the community based organizations in terms of effectiveness, financial self-reliance, and sustainability among the tribals and dalits. I am Gurubari Singh, age about 19 years. President of Tulasibani Water Shed Committee. I studied till class 8th and could not continue further as I belong to poor land less family having only 20 decimil of upland.
